Dodge Charger Trim Options & Specs

Buyers can outfit their Charger from mild to wild in the form of the High Output Scat Pack. It's the ultimate in factory power, all inspired by the legendary 1968 Charger. The Charger brings some big numbers, which we'll get to in a minute. The new Dodge Charger will be available as a two or four-door model. That's the first time both bodies have been offered at the same time! That makes it the World's only four-door muscle car!

Dodge Charger R/T: Start with the Charger R/T. Powered by a standard-output Hurricane SIXPACK engine, it delivers an anything-but-standard 420-horsepower from its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine. Torque checks in at 468 lb-ft, and top speed is 168 mph. Features include all-wheel drive, eighteen-inch tires on Tech Silver aluminum wheels, leatherette seats, Uconnect 5 with Navigation and a large touchscreen.

Dodge Charger Scat Pack: The Scat Pack is really special regardless of whether it's a two or four door model! The cars have a shared roofline, liftgate, front fascia and rear taillight for a new, bold look. That's not all they share: In this case we're talking about a gas-burning Hurricane SIXPACK H.O. engine. This high output engine is 3.0-liters of fire-breathing power. It's a brute, delivering 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. It's the most powerful version in Hurricane production. Timing is everything. We're looking at 12.2 seconds and 114 mph for the quarter mile, and 3.9 seconds to hit 60 mph. Top speed is 177 mph. Boost comes from two Garrett GT2054 Turbochargers. Power heads through an 8-speed automatic transmission to the standard all-wheel drive system. Having rear-wheel drive on demand is great when you want to do burnouts or donuts!

One of the best features of the new Charger is the drive mode selector. There are five drive modes, each tailored to the conditions and your driving style. Take your pick from Auto, Eco, Wet/Snow, Sport and Custom. Sport mode intrigues us the most with its torque split, aggressive shift patterns, more steering feedback and a unique sound signature from the SIXPACK engine.

Dodge Charger Performance

Dodge Charger Performance

The Dodge Charger Scat Pack's exhaust is performance-focused, with electronic valves and specific tuning for every drive mode. Noise cancellation works to eliminate unwanted cabin noise while letting in the intoxicating sounds of the exhaust.

Handling is enhanced by a suspension system built for control. With a multilink kit in front and a fully independent system in the back, this car shows genuine improvements over the Charger's previous generation.

Widest of the wide bodies

The styling is obvious: this is pure Dodge Charger muscle, inspired by a long history of performance. With a modern, muscular widebody, the next-gen Dodge Charger has a unique hood, front fascia, grille, and exhaust.

The SIXPACK Charger hood announces what it's for, boldly. The SIXPACK's grille is larger and more prominent, which distinguishes it from the Daytona. A black spoiler improves the Scat Pack's high-speed handling. It's everything you need to keep this low-flying missile firmly planted.
