Let's compare and contrast Chrysler Pacifica and Kia Sedona to find out which one is a better deal.

The Pacifica comes in six main trim levels vs four for the Sedona. More trim levels means more choices for car buyers and that's why the Chrysler Pacifica wins.

The Pacifica and the Odyssey are each equipped with a strong 6 cylinder engine and the ride is quiet and comfortable in both minivans. Pacifica's engine is able to generate 287 hp (276 for Kia Sedona) and 262 lb-ft of torque (248 for the Sedona), which is what helps get it from 0 to 60 mph in roughly 7.7 seconds.

What people love about the new Chrysler Pacifica is the Stow 'n Go seats. It seem to be one of the primary reasons minivan drivers keep buying Chrysler's minivans. They only require the push of a button to get them folded all the way into the floor of the van to maximize cargo space (40.5 ft³ with seat area). You have to come to the dealership and see it to believe it how cool this feature is.

Another feature that wins customers over to Chrysler is Pacifica's excellent all-around visibility. Both the front and rear windshields are massive, and the roof pillars are slim in their design. The side windows are also remarkably wide, making blind spots easier to check without the help of the blind-spot monitoring system.

Kia Sedona has a lot to offer in that department, too. It utilizes Surround View Monitor that enables you to navigate tight spots confidently. With the help of four cameras, this vehicle offers a bird's eye view perspective of your vehicle right into your dash screen. As a result, you get a 360 degrees perspective that enables you to maneuver the vehicle in a safe and convenient way.

Both car manufacturers had safety in mind when they were designing these minivans. Pacifica's braking system is appropriately responsive when engaged and has a short travel distance for the pedal (able to make a panic stop from 60 mph in just about 119 feet, which is considered short for this segment). Kia Optima does slightly better - it stops from 60 mph in 118 feet. Call it a wash.

So, which car is a better deal - Chrysler Pacifica or Kia Sedona?

We believe Chrysler Pacifica is a better deal for the money. The smooth ride and quality of the vehicle offers more for the consumer and leaves them ultimately more satisfied.
