Let's compare and contrast Chrysler Pacifica and Kia Carnival MPV to find out which one is a better deal.

The Pacifica comes in three main trim levels vs five for the Carnival MPV. Less trim levels means more standard features for car buyers and that's why the Chrysler Pacifica wins.

The Pacifica is equipped with a strong 6 cylinder engine while the Carnival has a 3.5L V6 hybrid engine. Despite the Carnival having a Hybrid, it actually gets worse gas mileage than the Pacifica. An the Pacifica doesn't sacrifice power. Pacifica's engine is able to generate 287 hp (287 for Kia Carnival MPV) and 262 lb-ft of torque (260 for the Carnival MPV), which is what helps get it from 0 to 60 mph in roughly 7.7 seconds.

The Carnival does have slightly more total cargo space with 145.1 vs 140.5 cu. ft. but utilizing the Pacifica's cargo space is much easier. What people love about the new Chrysler Pacifica is the Stow 'n Go seats. It seem to be one of the primary reasons minivan drivers keep buying Chrysler's minivans. They only require the push of a button to get them folded all the way into the floor of the van to maximize cargo space. You have to come to the dealership and see it to believe it how cool this feature is.

Another feature that wins customers over to Chrysler is Pacifica's excellent all-around visibility. Both the front and rear windshields are massive, and the roof pillars are slim in their design. In addition to that, the Pacifica has surround view monitor available on all trim levels.

Kia Carnival MPV has a lot to offer in that department, too. It also offers Surround View Monitor on higher trims. It also offers a larger standard infotainment screen( 12.3 vs 10.1).

Both car manufacturers had safety in mind when they were designing these minivans. Pacifica's braking system is appropriately responsive when engaged and has a short travel distance for the pedal (able to make a panic stop from 60 mph in just about 119 feet, which is considered short for this segment). Kia Carnival MPV does slightly better - it stops from 60 mph in 118 feet. Call it a wash.

So, which car is a better deal - Chrysler Pacifica or Kia Carnival MPV ?

We believe Chrysler Pacifica is a better deal for the money. The smooth ride and quality of the vehicle offers more for the consumer and leaves them ultimately more satisfied.
